Check out the Whistlestop to March Hare trail at Winter Park. It’s rated GREEN for beginners. I took the Olympia Express lift.

We started by taking the Gemini Express lift, skating to the Prospector Express, and taking Jack Kendrick down. I wanted to quickly hit the small/medium terrain park (Ash Cat). To get to the Olympia Express lift, we took the Prospector Express back up and took Jack Kendrick to Mock Turtle.

Whistlestop to March Hare is a fun run for beginners. This is actually where a lot of my early learning on the snowboard took place.

If you’re keen to get a feel for riding in the park, Ash Cat is a great place to start. It starts with more of a beginner section with small box jumps, etc. and ends with a couple nice small/medium jumps. You can get a lot of practice, given the Prospector Express is at the top and bottom of the run.
