Hello, I'm Kyle!
Who Am I?
My name is Kyle Callahan and I’m a Colorado implant. I’m originally from southern Indiana and I attended Ball State University, where I studied Finance. Following undergrad, I moved to New York City to work for a global investment bank.
New York was a blast, but after a couple years, my fiancée and I decided it was time for a change. Rachel has always loved the outdoors and dreamed about living out West. We quit our NYC jobs and arranged for our last day at work to be the last day of our apartment lease. That day, we rented a box truck and officially moved out of our 1-bedroom Upper East Side apartment.
Before moving to Colorado, we wanted to take advantage of our time without obligations (no jobs, no rent payments, no dog yet 🙂). We drove our belongings back to Indiana and unloaded them at Rachel’s parents’ place. Two days later, we flew to Lisbon, Portugal to embark on a 6-week adventure throughout Eastern Europe. We traveled to 9 countries in this order: Portugal (Lisbon), Greece (Santorini), Montenegro (Kotor), Croatia (Dubrovnik, Split), Bosnia and Herzgovina (Mostar), Hungary (Budapest), Austria (Vienna), Slovakia (Bratislava), and Czechia (Prague).
We’re now loving our life in Colorado and I’m looking forward to sharing my adventures with you!
What is Colorful Colorado?
The purpose of this website is to share all things Colorado in bite-size portions. I’ve also included some of my travels out-of-state if you’re bored 🙂. My genuine hope is to inspire your own adventures!
